Side-channel blowers, side-channel squeegees
Side-channel blowers and side-channel suckers increase gas pressure by creating a series of vortices in the peripheral annular channel due to the centrifugal thrust generated by the impeller.
The pumped gas moving in a spiral motion is repeatedly compressed, and its pressure increases linearly with the length of the channel. Side-channel devices are used wherever it is not possible to achieve high pressures or vacuum with centrifugal blowers. The rotating parts are not in contact with the housing.
The lack of friction precludes the need for internal lubrication, so the gas remains clean and completely free of oil.
Other advantages of side-channel devices are:
- Easy installation
- Low noise level
- No vibration and therefore total dynamic stability
- Pulsation-free pumping
- Minimal maintenance
The blowers produce mid-range positive and negative pressure.
Blower pressures:
- overpressure: 0 ~ 1040 mbar
- vacuum pressure: 0 ~ -730 mbar
- capacities: 0 ~ 10,000 m3/h
